For numerous applications
in the steel mills or heavy industry, two series of
wheels have been designed, which differ in their inner
geometry.
The first series (Series
6) uses two taper roller bearings, assembled in
preset units with a gauged spacer, with an excellent
capacity for absorbing loads with high axial components.
The second series (Series
7) uses two parallel roller bearings capable of
absorbing axial load of 15% - 18% of the value of the
radial load applied.
Features common to
both series:
- Major thickness of outer ring
- Double protection system and
seal by means of steel shields and steel spring
grommets
- Re-lubrication capability.
The outer profile
is available in three different forms:
1) Ring with double guided edge on outer rolling
surface.
2) Ring with parallel outer rolling surface.
3) Ring with a single guided edge on the outer
rolling surface.
